WP:MILHIST Assessment[edit]

Long, detailed, and well-cited. Sure could use an infobox, though. LordAmeth 09:39, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested Improvements[edit]

  • The list of casualities can be moved elsewhere
  • find some images - right now too much text.
  • Information on combatants - would already be there in a page like IPKF. Repeating it here in detail is distracting

Please check[edit]

I read the following sentence in the article: "Colombo agreed to a devolution of power to the provinces the Sri Lankan troops were to withdraw to their barracks in the north, the Tamil rebels were to disarm." Am I the only one who doesnt understand it! Also, it has a cited reference which is inaccesible as the page has moved!Lilaac (talk) 13:15, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strategic victory?[edit]

Perhaps I've missed something, but how is the battle an Indian strategic victory? They did extricate most of their paracommando force, but none of their strategic goals were accomplished Seleucus (talk) 16:26, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My edits[edit]

Had one use of language edit, which streamlined that section and one removed. "Kaul would live to fight another day." is anything other than encyclopedic and was removed. I did leave the portion on morphine, as in a severe trauma case, that would remove a commander from the fight. I can't give citations on that, but personal experience is, given combat dosage of morphine, the injured is out of it.Wzrd1 (talk)
