Picture[edit]

The picture was not Ferrier. Ferrier lived 1808-1864, and the picture was of an old man from the 18th century. A painting of Ferrier at the university of St. Andrews is reproduced on the cover of Keefe, J., ed. 2011. James Frederick Ferrier: Selected Writings. Imprint Academic, Exeter, UK. Authentic pictures of Ferrier are at http://www.scottishphilosophy.org/jamesfrederickferrier.html and at http://e-ducation.net/metaphysicians.htm (the latter is the painting at St. Andrews). MayerG (talk) 20:09, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
