This page is wrong. James is an Australian citizen aswell[edit]

James Murdoch is an Australian citizen.

His farther an mother are Australian and James an his siblings are Australian citizens through decent & right of abode.

Also I can hear all you lot living in the past saying Rupert Murdoch gave up his Australian citizenship!!!

In 1985 yes as at the time Australia did not have dual nationality laws in 1985. But all that changed in 2007 when Australia changed the citizenship act & Rupert Murdoch regained his Australian citizenship and passport.

Rupert Murdoch even talks about his multiple citizenship including Australian citizenship in this interview on sky with Australian David spears.

M7GkJqRv3BI

& explained how he does no wish to be forced to appear before a U.S congressional hearing as the USA does not have dual citizenship laws unlike Australia post 3007. But not back in 1985.

Also Rupert Murdoch’s citizenship is not the only issue… James mother is an Australian citizen and all HER children are entitled to Australian citizenship through her. 49.178.181.20 (talk) 03:28, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

James never lost his Australian citizenship[edit]

James & his sibling’s NEVER lost his/their Australian citizenship when his farther renounced his citizenship in 1985 OMG are you hacks for real.

Answer me this… Rupert Murdoch renounced his Australian citizenship in 1985.

But in 1972 when James was born Rupert Murdoch was at the time an Australian citizen. Ergo …james was also an Australian citizen via right of abode. Through not just his farther Rupert Murdoch but also his mother who is an Australian and his grandparents who are also Australian citizens.

Now move forward to 1985 when Rupert Murdoch renounced his Australian citizenship. James is 13 years old at that point. He & his other siblings could not & did not lose their Australian citizenship retrospectively… it’s not possible.

They remind Australian regardless of what their farther did.

Fact Rupert Murdoch regained his Australian citizenship in 2007 after Australia changed the citizenship act to allow dual nationality.

The USA does not allow dual nationality. Ergo If Rupert Murdoch has multiple nationality’s such as U.S citizenship + Australian citizenship + British citizenship.

Or even just U.S citizenship + British citizenship. The fact means if Rupert Murdoch has dual nationality of any kind he would automatically lose his U.S citizenship an could face a u.s congressional hearing.

So by the your own rules if a 90 year old Rupert Murdoch lost either his U.S citizenship or his British citizenship. Your all saying the James & his siblings who are all 50 odd years old or above would all loss their U.S & British citizenship aswell …. Grow up.

Your position is nonsense. Rupert Murdoch’s actions in 1985 had zero barring on the status of the Australian citizenship of his almost adult children and even less so on his adult children.

See this is why Wikipedia is mocked for having morons & kids as moderators. Most of them don’t know their elbows from their arseholes. Yet alone how the laws & the world worked decades before they where born, or even how it works today. 49.178.162.95 (talk) 20:21, 30 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
