NPOV[edit]

This tone of this article is consistently biased against Freedman and in favor of the Dartmouth Review or conservative politics generally. The article needs revision.

I concur with the NPOV comment above. The "Hitler Quote" incident, if nothing else, cemented his presidency (certainly I doubt he organized the "Rally against Hate" himself - the Review had very little support on campus). And how does anyone know whether the incident had anything to do with him not getting the Harvard presidency? ("It is widely believed..." sheesh).

The criticism of the "Will to Excel" campaign is inapt. Most capital campaigns have earmarked special projects.

The bad-faith treatment of the Greek system sounds entirely typical of the Dartmouth administration, but I doubt blame for it can be placed exclusively on Freedman. He was famously not interested in the day-to-day operations of the college, delegating most of them to Dean Pelton, et al. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.162.49.230 (talk) 11:36, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
