Rewrite on the personal life section[edit]

That part sounds too like a personal webpage or similar informal writings. Maybe it's better to move some of it into the "trivia" section, and it could certainly do with a lot of revising.石川 14:58, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I gave it a shot, but it seems that it's impossible for this article to substantially improve in quality if no more adequate information is poured in. Explanation on some of my edits:

I rephrased "'mainly' for his appearance 'but also' for his vocal talent" to "'both'...'and'...". It's not our job to do that judgment unless Christophe Barratier said so publicly and we can find the sources.

I used last name solely to refer to him in the article, which I believe (but am not sure) is the custom of personal biography on Wikipedia. I also added some tags - now it seems to be almost half as long as the article itself! Finally, a somewhat trivial question - is he more of an actor than a singer or the other way around?

Umm, and are there speculations of he being gay? And if so, can you help me find the sources? Keith Galveston (talk) 04:56, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Major rewrite[edit]

I have done more on the article today. What I did:

I rewrote parts of the article to fix its improper tone and messy organization. I think it's alright now, so I removed the tags.
I put on the "single source" tag: well, it's not one single source, it's two sources, but definitely still not enough. I also added the stub tag.
I split the article into three main sections: early life, singing career, and acting career, in accordance of other biography article. It turns out that each section has enough information, except perhaps the early life section.
I haven't yet figured out where to put the trivia infos. His official website seems to like providing them, so I think it may be a good idea to just delete them altogether, and refer the interested people to his official site.
My edit results in quit a few red links. That may be fixed in the near future, but probably by someone better informed than I am.
