Tycho[edit]

Delambre contributed to the remarks about Ptolemy made by Tycho. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.137.170.8 (talk) 10:23, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Adrien-Marie Legendre[edit]

I am just wondering why M. Legendre appears in this article when neither Delambre nor any other member of the expedition appears in the Legendre article. I would be grateful for any elucidation OsmNacht (talk) 15:07, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

The quick answer is that the articles were written at different times by different people with little (probably zero) coordination. Another thing to consider is that Delambre's geodesic work was a major aspect of his career, whereas Legendre is much better known for other things. I'm sure both articles can be improved and you should feel to do so. cffk (talk) 15:52, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
