[Untitled][edit]

There is no mention in the current article on Jean Nageotte of the "bracelets of Nageotte," which bear his name -- the structures at the paranodal margins of the myelin sheath now termed "terminal loops." The closest I can come to a web reference is a GO term for "spiny bracelets of Nageotte," and as I have insufficient expertise to insert content regarding this, I just raise the issue. That the term is still in relatively current use in its original (morphological) sense is evidenced by articles retrieved with Google Scholar such as "An orderly development of paranodal axoglial junctions and bracelets of Nageotte in the rat sural nerve" by K Yamamoto, AC Merry, and AAF Sima (1996) Developmental Brain Research, 96(1-2): 36-45.
