Complete Rewrite[edit]

I have completely re-written this article. The original talk page is archived under /Archive 1 wrp103 (Bill Pringle) 02:10, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

And the deletion was listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jeff Lindsay --Richhoncho 02:40, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

One of the biggest problems with this article is that the whole point of the article seems to be an argument that this person is worthy of my reading about him because all of these other websites talk about him. Why not just focus on what he has done and provide any necessary references to work as cited references? It would present the information in a much more encyclopedic manner. At the moment it just seems like someone was really trying to prove to someone else that this guy was notable when they wrote the article. Peyna 00:38, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

I took a stab at it; now someone else come in and revise away =] Peyna 00:57, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

disambiguation... or something?[edit]

Currently a search for 'Jeff Lindsay' takes one directly to this page. There is another Jeff Lindsay article on Wikipedia, though — Jeff Lindsay (writer). I bring it up here because i'm not sure what the procedure is for situations like this. Do we add a disambiguation page, or just the little 'if you're looking for the other guy...' notice at the top? How do we decide who gets the redirect if the latter? I don't know. Maybe someone could look into it. ~ lav-chan @ 03:46, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

I added disambiguation headers to both pages. If it's only two, no reason to create a separate page. ~ trialsanderrors 04:47, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Search page[edit]

I have a small idea here. Why doesn't it just go to the search page or something. There's two Jeff Lindsays and this one has always sounded a bit odd to me, I didn't even know about him till I read about Mormons. (talk) 01:06, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Jeff Lindsay the writer[edit]

Hi, I understand you guys are putting effort in this Jeff and I agree that creating redirection page for just two people is redundant but honestly,

shouldn't JL the writer be the first search result for "Jeff Lindsay"? Especially since the TV series (broad casted internationally) of Dexter I think he's just way ahead of being famous (and wiki-searched for)... even though his wiki page is far less maintained (still a stub).

Just ask Google:

"Jeff Lindsay" + "Letter day saints" = 3440 results, "Jeff Lindsay" + "mormons" = 5470 results, "Jeff Lindsay" + "Dexter" = 314 000 results.

I'd do it myself but even after consulting Help section I wasn't able to find out how. Cheers.

PS: I certainlly didn't mean to offend in any way, I was just quite surprised when searching for the writer guy.

It's because this article is created by someone or some group pushing an agenda. It's a blatant form of promotion.-- (talk) 03:25, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
The misspelling of Latter day Saints is relevant. Latter has been misspelled as Letter. Jeff Lindsay" + "Latter day saints" = 864,000 results. Reswobslc (talk) 21:48, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Pretty silly to include as a reference[edit]

It's pretty silly to include as reference #4. It's quite obvious that this page is not an objective resource. (talk) 11:03, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
