What does it mean by:
-
- "...was the world's oldest department store, having existed on the same site since 1838."
Isn't it still the world's oldest?
- I suppose that the idea is that it's a new shop now, because it's been sold. (I note also that its Web site doesn't claim that it's the world's oldest, only that it's one of the oldest.) --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 18:41, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
A picture of the grand hall is full Chrismas decor would be a good addition. People may not come to Edinburgh to see it, but many Edinburgh folk will go into Jenners in December to see this amazing display!
