Neutrality?[edit]

Sentences like these: "Over forty years he established himself as one of the most distinctive singers of his generation, gathering a loyal following along with much critical acclaim." You can't just write that without backing it up. And I'm not sure there's any way to back up being "one of the most distinctive singers of his generation." 71.146.93.145 (talk) 10:02, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That sentence doesn't actually tell us anything. I've removed it. (It would be informative if "one of the most distinctive singers of his generation" was a quote from a notable critic or something like that. But it's not. Additional information[edit]

Jerry Lawson and the Persuasions performed in Spike Lee's a cappella documentary "Do It A Cappella" in the early 1990s. Other a cappella groups on the show spoke highly of them; could some of those singers be quoted in the article?

Also, there's not much information about Lawson himself - did he attend school? How did he meet the other members of the Persuasions? That information, if available, would improve the article. Babowman (talk) 01:52, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
