Jessie Burton and Pip Carter (almost) completely fail WP:V despite all the sources given. There's a primary for each for them. Widefox; talk 19:38, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
Rushed self-publicity?
[edit]The article is almost empty of facts. Despite being in her late 30s there is an total void between a short time at drama school and the sudden, dramatic publicity surrounding her first novel many years later. Other sites seem to indicate that she wrote the novel 'secretly' on her work computer whilst employed in an administrative role and that a carefully stage managed auction succeeded in selling the rights to multiple publishers.
There is a bit of a mystery here. It has the hallmarks of a publisher or Ms. Burton herself rushing an entry into Wikipedia to accompany the launch. She has become a prolific Twitter / Tweeter, sharing her OMG-like trivia turmoil with the world. The whole thing has a contrived, self-publicising feel to it.
Was she born?
[edit]Was it on a date? Does she have an age?
In a place?
Did she have an early life? Parents? Siblings! An education?
Was she brought up somewhere? Where?
Did she attend schools? Which ones?
- Add to that list... married? Children?
You get the point - someone has rushed out a brief publicity / link-bait piece onto Wikipedia without making it in any way encyclopaedic.
