about Lebanon and Syria, also Vichy, and the concentration camps there and in Tunisia could do with some detail. Additionally I note the massacres from the C19th (Martin Gilbert lists dozens many similar to the Safed plunder 'pogrom' of 1834) and the notorious Damascus incident) notable as a build-up in Arab Nationalism and concommitant antisemitism occurs. A mention of Cremieuxs campaigning to protect the Lebanese Christians provides historical background and is directly related to widespread favourable reaction to fascism and the later outcome of religious/ethnic intolerance in Arab world. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.43.2.2 (talk) 09:40, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Japanese also interred (Ashkenazi + Sephardic) Dutch Jews, as well as Baghdadi Jews in Occupied Indonesia during the war. https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jappenkampen_in_Nederlands-Indi%C3%AB Please translate to English!!!
