Untitled[edit]

This article's title sucks. This was no "leak", it was wantonly destroyed by IDF weapons. s/leak/spill 71.162.255.58 06:17, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's a leak caused by an attack brain drain.
So the Exxon Valdez oil spill was a "leak"? 71.162.255.58 16:07, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the s/leak/spill/ has to be distributed around and about. But I think it's done. Also re-wrote the introduction a bit. mdf 16:10, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

consistent units[edit]

I've converted the 110,000 barrels into 16,000 tonnes, to be consistent with the rest of the article. 6.3 barrels per cubic metre, density 0.93 tonnes/m^3 were used. mdf 22:01, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tense[edit]

Can this still be considered an ongoing event? I think not, but will wait a few days for other editors to chip in before rewriting to past tense. MX44 06:52, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most of it should be written in the past tense. The only exception would be ongoing pollution or cleanup. — George [talk] 16:11, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think this is done. RJFJR (talk) 17:18, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-Up Effort[edit]

The Ministry of Environment, with the help of many donor countries and non-profit organizations,

has been working on the clean-up effort. This includes legal issues, such as compensation, which is being dealt with through the United Nations General Assembly. The objective of the entire project is to manage the environmental catastrophe by attaining funds to complete the clean-up.[1]
