David -- when did the Margraves of Brandenburg, Electors of the HRE, become simply electors? Do you know if Kurfürst simply replaced the title? this seems odd to me, since I can't see the King of Bohemia blithely accepting a lesser title (in that case -- or the Duke of Bavaria, for that matter). Just trying to make sense of this before I start on a clean-up campaign. JHK
- What are you talking about? No one was ever "simply" an elector.
