Other uses of Joanna[edit]

The article on Perpetua_(typeface) also claims that the Perpetua font is the one used in the wordmark of Barack Obama. Which is true? Perpetua or Joanna? Both? Neither? --KJRehberg (talk) 17:05, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Granjon inspiration[edit]

Hi, the Wikipedia article has said since its creation that Joanna was based on type cut by Robert Granjon. I have found no source for it except Monotype's release notes (which could have copied us), and so I've deleted this. If anyone has a source for it that clearly could not have copied Wikipedia, please let me know, but I think this is a misunderstanding. Possibly a confusion with Linotype Granjon, which was very popular at the time? Blythwood (talk) 21:57, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
