Mortons hope[edit]

It would be nice to have an article on Motley's novel.Kresspahl 10:14, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Life and Character of Peter the Great[edit]

There is no an essay called "Life and Character of Peter the Great". In 1845 "The North American Review" published an essay called "Peter the Great" (see here). Apparently the cause of the error is an article in "Appletons' cyclopædia of American biography" (vol. IV, p. 438, see here) that stated: "Mr. Motley tried his hand in an elaborate historical article in the "North American Review" for October, 1845. This was a narrative and critical essay on the life and character of Peter the Great of Russia". --Juggler2005 (talk) 13:04, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

'Rise of the Dutch Republic' merits its own page[edit]

A classic work like this ought to have its own Wiki page. Hopefully a suitable expert might oblige. Valetude (talk) 13:28, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's available on Project Gutenberg if you have the time to read it, I've started reading the first volume. Auvon (talk) 01:30, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
