Question[edit]

The following information about a different linguist appears at the bottom of the page; when you go in to edit the page, it does not appear in the edit box. Not sure what's going on here? I assume he is notable enough to include as a separate article? --FeanorStar7 20:14, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"ARITON VRACIU (1927-1987) - Romanian linguist and academic, professor of general linguistics, Slavicist, polyglot and translator."

Edits[edit]

I removed some irrelevant links and added some relevant ones. As for the tone of the section I marked, it seems to much like an advertisement for the OED.Yewlongbow (talk) 06:28, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possible copyvio[edit]

I have little doubt that this version by a blocked sock was a copy and paste job from somewhere, but I can't prove it--the original link given to Simpson's bio at the OED is now dead. At any rate, the article no longer resembles that early version, and I see little point in deleting a few years' worth of intermediary edits. Drmies (talk) 14:41, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
