On 31 January 2016 Chelsea FC announced that they will not be renewing John Terry's contract with the club. At 35 years old his career in Premiership football may be at an end. There is always the option for players of his age to head over to the US and play for American clubs. Does anybody else think that there should be a "controversies" section on this article? I think that piping the wife of one of his best friends, allegedly calling Anton Ferdinand some things I'm probably not allowed to say here, throwing food at American tourists after 9/11 and assaulting a bartender, all to quite a lot of media attention, probably warrants a section in the article. See WP:CSECTION. Wikipedia articles generally shouldn't have sections headed "Criticism", "Controversy" or similar, particularly in BLPs. If an incident is worth mentioning, it should be integrated into the main body of the text.--♦IanMacM♦(talk to me) 20:35, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
