[edit] Return to rugby 1913–1914?
The football infobox shows John Willie Sutcliffe playing rugby league at Heckmondwike during 1913–1914. Is this correct, did he return to rugby (league) after his football career? Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 14:54, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
- I've checked the books that I have and they don't mention it so I've removed it. Not sure if Heckmondwike were still going at that point. The sources that I have are generally consistent with what is in the article at present. He joined Southend United in 1912 as a coach – continued to play occasionally – and remained there until the end of the 1914–15 season when the war began. Went on to manage Vitesse during the war and returned to Yorkshire in 1919 to coach at Bradford City. Argyle 4 Lifetalk 03:20, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
