a few unreferenced, unattributed opinion words (like "brilliant"), i marked them as citation needed. did these phrases come from the old encyclopedia this was copied from? if so, they need a specific source to justify inclusion here. --kipito 09:27, 4 January 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kiphinton (talk • contribs)

No consensus Sceptre(talk) 16:06, 21 August 2008 (UTC) The Spanish form is overwhelmingly more common in English. In fact, it is almost impossible to fin an English source outside of Wikipeida using the Catalan form. Srnec (talk) 05:22, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Comment A Google search seems to imply the opposite. Can you provide additional evidence? JPG-GR (talk) 16:14, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
I get different results. Removing Wikipedia from the search and restricting to English, I get only 4,110 hits. Some of these are false: they are references to Wikipedia, they are actually in Catalan, or they are references not to Vives but to libraries/instutes bearing his name. When I do the exact same search for "Juan Luis Vives", I get 44,700 hits. Most of these (9 out of the first 10) are good hits. Searches at GoogleBooks give similar results: there are very few English references (I stopped looking before I found one!) to a person named Joan Lluís Vives, but Juan Luis Vives is a famous humanist.
