[edit] Wivenhoe
There seems to be some issue with when he left Wivenhoe. The BBC (a reputable source) says 9 June. If another good source is available showing another date please use it!--Egghead06 (talk) 07:16, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- "Club News | Mon 8th Jun 09 Posted by Web Master By mutual consent Wivenhoe Town Football Club and Julian Dicks have been forced to part ways." (http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/wivenhoetownfc/?section=clubnews): he had gone by Monday 8th, but we don't know exactly when he went. His main home is still in Spain, so it may be that most of the dealings since the end of the season have been conducted by phone or e-mail, so it is pointless to speculate as to when he last set foot in Broad Lane (the theatre of somnambulism). Nor is it particularly important for an encyclopaedia to record the exact date of a change: in a few years time, all that will be relevant is the fact that he left this role in the 2009 close season. The BBC is usually a reliable source, but my guess is that they do not put their chief reporters into stories dealing with 9th level clubs, and nor does the web editor insist on additional scrutiny of the facts.
