"Longtime Klamath broadcaster dies; Floyd Wynne owned KFLS, was a former Klamath County Commissioner, City Council member". Klamath Falls Herald and News. December 14, 2008. When Floyd Wynne purchased his first radio station in 1970, its call letters matched his initials— KFLW.The Klamath Falls station later became KFLS with Wynne as the one-man show, writing and broadcasting the news.The long-time radio personality who stated his opinion on "The View From Here" twice each week, died Saturday at age 90. A memorial service has not yet been scheduled. He first came to Klamath Falls in 1948 to become the play-by-play announcer for the city's minor league baseball team, the Gems. He also was a Klamath Falls City Council member, a Klamath County Commissioner, Herald and News editor and the voice of Oregon Tech.
