[edit] Notability

This topic does not appear to meet the general notability guideline. There is no evidence that it has "has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" as required by this guideline. Presently it appears to describe a minor fictional character in an ancient writing, something which is almost certainly non-notable. Given the very low quality of the article, unless an editor can produce such independent reliable sources demonstrating that it is notable, it should be listed for deletion shortly. Presently, it is not clear that the article even claims to be notable, and it may thus be a candidate for speedy deletion. Locke9k (talk) 21:50, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

We have articles on every mythological monster, why not this particular one? --Againme (talk) 19:35, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Not really a cryptid

I would argue that the Kaijin is not a cryptid, but just a mythological or legendary creature. What classifies it as being a cryptid?--Shumats86 (talk) 03:12, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
