NPOV[edit]

The "Playing style" section is not only written like a promotional team pamphlet, but is almost completely uncited as well. Saying that someone is "well-known" for anything requires a citation (what qualifies as "well-known?"). Readers should be able to let the facts speak for themselves whether or not her free kick is "devastating". "Her size and strength along with sheer determination makes Lang a powerful force for opposing defenders to deal with' is not an encyclopedic treatment of a subject at all. Similarly, phrases such as "Lang is known as a modest and humble figure, and is well-respected by coaches, teammates, and fans around the world" and "With such admirable qualities, Lang has become a fan favourite and a role model for many young girls in Canada" need to be cleaned up. Now, I have nothing against Ms. Lang and I'm sure she's wonderful, but this encyclopedic must adhere to a neutral (and cited) treatment of every subject from Mother Teresa to Jeffrey Dahmer. For that reason, I am going to allow for a week for someone to provide citations for the claims made in that section, after which point I will clean them up myself. New info box needed[edit]

I think there should be a different info box for Kara Lang, as the current one is a college info box, and she's much more significant as an international player. However, her college career should not be neglected, but the standard football player info box (as used on, say, Mia Hamm's page, doesn't have spaces for including a player's college. Career international goals[edit]

On July 23, 2007 Kara Lang played the USA under-20 team in the semi-final of the Pan-Am games. If this match is excluded from her caps; then the goal scored should also be excluded. Therefore, Kara Lang has 92 caps by the same standard as applied to Christine Sinclair and the rest of the team who played in that match. Without the goal scored in the same match, Lang scored 34 goals and not 35 goals as indicated on CanadaSoccer.com on her profile page - Harvardton (talk) 16:02, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
