The bulk of the article was added on 24 June 2004 by User:Ravn with the comment "incorporated materials from the ADB", meaning the Allgemeine Deutsche Biographie. Wikisource's ABD entry on Karl von Abel is here. I just reviewed the subsequent edits to this article and they are all (up to now) copy edits or wikification.
