Birth date[edit]

The Guardian has 2 March 1928, not 17 March 1928.[1] Would change directly, but wasn't sure if this had been gone over before. AleatoryPonderings (???) (!!!) 16:19, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@AleatoryPonderings: The 172 March date was in the article at the start, with the (not 100% reliable) reference to the Irish Independent interview, which doesn't actually state it directly. Bloom6132 added a reference to The Telegraph, which I can't access; perhaps they could recheck? There's also a new Times obituary[1], but that's also paywalled. Given that Whitehorn worked for The Observer, one would have thought that their obituary would be likely to be correct. Espresso Addict (talk) 01:50, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The last line of her obit in The Telegraph states "Katharine Whitehorn, born March 17 1928, died January 8 2021". —Bloom6132 (talk) 02:04, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And though The Times is behind a paywall, the Google search says it contains "CBE, journalist and agony aunt, was born on March 2, 1928". Guess it's safe to say that March 2 is the correct date of birth. —Bloom6132 (talk) 02:07, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I miswrote; it was the 17th that was in initially. I'm going to change it to 2 March, going with the Observer/Times. Espresso Addict (talk) 02:25, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
