"Controversy"[edit]

I have removed the "controversy" section as one big WP:NPOV violation. It was opinionated and blew a minor incident out of all proportion. "... one of the most controversial and loathed school districts"? That's not the tone expected from an encyclopedia. Half the content was from a single source, with so many quotes that there were copyright issues. If this is a notable part of the school district's history (which otherwise isn't covered at all), a short section near the end of the article that neutrally summarizes events should do; this is a school district involved in some controversy, not a controversy with a school district attached. Removing the lead section does not resolve the WP:NPOV issues. The article is dominated by this controversy, which is blown out of proportion, with a tone that's anything but neutral, and where sources are misrepresented to spin a tale. There's editorializing, there are factual errors, there's soapboxing. This is nowhere near appropriate for an encyclopedia. Huon (talk) 22:22, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
