Exact location[edit]

To Black Tusk: I was going to add this to Wikimapia but couldn't find it easily; is it at the outlet of Silt Lake? It's not indexed in BCGNIS or CGND as we already know; can you locate it on googlemaps?Skookum1 (talk) 22:01, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The coordinates for the falls are approximately 50°40′34.08″N 123°28′17.35″W / 50.6761333°N 123.4714861°W / 50.6761333; -123.4714861. Black Tusk (talk) 22:38, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'll Wikimap it. Wikimapia's the same sat-basemap as googlemaps, by the way; prob. public domain....or GDFL anyway (?). I tried to add the Bridge River Cones but couldn't select an area large enough for some reason at the zoom level needed to get teh whole frame in; Tuber Hill's the only one with an article and coords but it's on the Nichols Creek ridge, too; so if you can get me all five (six?) specifics might as well put 'em on Wikimapia; I added Homathko Icefield, was wiating on the Lillooet until I stub up Pemberton Icecap, Overseer Icefield, Ipsoot Icefield and Compton Neve, so we have the whole set. List of icefields and glaciers of the Coast Mountains seems like a good idea (or Pacific Ranges only, with a separate one for the Boundary Ranges (few in the Kitimat Ranges are named)).Skookum1 (talk) 07:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry the coordinates are directly on the falls. Is the Silverthrone Caldera on Wikimapia? If not the coordinates are 51°31′N 126°07′W / 51.52°N 126.12°W / 51.52; -126.12; it should mark its northwestern rim around Mount Silverthrone. Is there a way to use Wikimapia sat-basemap?
