The "Brown Book" now available online[edit]

This excellent history of the "Kingston Steam Plant" tells the story of its construction and early operation. http://www.tva.com/kingston/tdec/pdf/TVA-00020036.pdf Enjoy, SFCharlie (talk) 19:17, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

nuclear power[edit]

the article had read that the plant was built to power "nuclear power operations" at Oakridge. This is misleading. Nuclear power operations provide their own power, and Oakridge never had any large scale nuclear power production. It did do nuclear research and development, among other things. -Helvetica (talk) 06:40, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
