Added etymology as well as relevant reference. The article still lacks a lot of information. Possible additions: origins of the disorder/underlying neuroanatonomy/treatment. I knew someone once who had kleptolagnia. He was in trouble from an early age for theft, especially breaking into unoccupied houses to steal items of low value. But what he really used to break in for was to rifle through the bedroom cupboards and draws, to find women’s clothing, which he used to place on the floor in the shape of a woman and then masturbate over them to an intense orgasm. It was something he would never had admitted to police at any interview and the reports of his crimes in the local paper never mentioned it, but, after I had known him intimately for some years, he would tell me about it. Another aspect of this was his breaking into parked cars and driving off in them to some isolated spot in the countryside. He was aroused by the act of stealing cars and enjoying the freedom of the open road. He would always end up parking the car in an out of the way place and masturbating frantically to an intense orgasm, in order to, in his own words, “Christen the car with my spunk”. What I’ve just related to you has probably never been published before on the Internet and little is known about the condition. So consider this small contribution as a small piece of the jigsaw puzzle.
