George W. Bush's visit[edit]

On Aug. 14, 2002, US President George W. Bush visited UW-Milwaukee and made a speech on national, homeland and economic security at Klotsche Center. [1] About 1,800 people attended this meeting. UWM Chancellor Nancy Zimpher and Wisconsin Governor Scott McCallum welcomed the president.[2]

The above is a head of US visit. It is a notable enent to this building. Please stop deleting. Untlesj (talk) 01:37, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why? He's just a politician. I'd say the same if it had been Obama or Ford. Such visits are only notable if something meaningful actually happens (like the assassination attempt on Teddy Roosevelt while he was speaking in Milwaukee). Otherwise, it's just worshiping the officeholders. --Orange Mike | Talk 01:43, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Note also that the above "references" are both press releases. --Orange Mike | Talk 01:44, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not making a WP article about this event. It may be not that notable in general history to deserver an article, but it is notable to this building as an article section. Untlesj (talk) 02:45, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I'm trying to assume good faith here. Presidents go all over the world and make all kinds of speeches. Unless something significant happened at such a speech, I just don't see any reason to pad the article with a mention of it. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:29, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
