Others[edit]

There's a John Kluge (musician) in addition to John W. Kluge; may or not be notable.

Pronunciation[edit]

I documented the German prounciation, but failed to find videos where JW was introduced or credited out loud. A lot of German-born Yanks would give up correcting people, but many in the media business would persist, bcz suspicion of aggressive self promotion (even via a funny name) seems to be no handicap in that industry. Others may succeed in learning the truth about his pronunciation.

A colleague contests my account of "Kluge" as a noun for "clever one", but Die Kluge is a work by Carl Orff, and i reverted the removal accordingly. (I can't recall for sure; "der Kluge" may even be the form for males.)
