Duplicate Topic??[edit]

There's a very detailed article about Kozhikode and it's about Kozhikode district. then why is this topic? Gopaalan —Preceding undated comment added 10:12, 18 June 2011 (UTC).[reply]

The Kozhikode article is about the 'Kozhikode city' and Kozhikode district is obviusly about the 'Kozhikode district'. Though they are different, there could be overlap. Salih (talk) 12:45, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sub Categories[edit]

Sub Categories[edit]

Kozhikode district has 151 villages and listing them all in the same category is not possible. We need the following sub categories for classifying the localities:

  1. Vadakara area
  2. Koyilandy area
  3. Kozhikode city suburbs
  4. Thamarassery area
  5. Kuttiyadi area

Kindly make suitable suggestions. --Prof TPMS (talk) 01:38, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Prashanth Nair photo in 'Political divisions' section[edit]

Hi, In this page, there is a photo in 'Political divisions' section. I think this photo is irrelevant in this section. Can we remove this photo or move it to some other section where it is relevant?. Prashanth Nair is former collector of Kozhikode district. Arajc (talk) 11:43, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

I think the page Culture of Kozhikode district should be merged into this page. The culture page is an orphan and lacks context right now. Other regional pages often include culture pages, see, e.g., Catalonia, Southern United States, and Polynesia. I don't think either page is so long that the combined page will get too unwieldy. The examples listed above are all longer than this combined page would be.

If others disagree on that, I think this page should get a short culture section that links to the full culture article. But I think it would be better to merge them.
