Game shut down?[edit]

Just tried going over to the website to find it's not responding. Did some searching and found the offical forums. Poked around there for a bit, turned up: http://codogames.yuku.com/topic/5587/t/The-future-of-LSN.html

Also managed to dig up this article that confirms more info http://chaosquad.mediacorporation.net/index.php?post=1283194800

Anyone got time to do some more digging around? Nutter4Ever (talk) 22:45, 26 September 2010 (UTC) Just signed up in.[reply]

Game Name[edit]

Shouldn't this game be more appropriately named Laser Squad: Nemesis (with the colon before Nemesis)? -SharkD 20:53, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, according to the game's homepage it isn't, though I think it should have been. -SharkD 20:58, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Lasersquadnemesis.jpg[edit]

Image:Lasersquadnemesis.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:55, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release Date WAS NOT 2005[edit]

I'm 15 now and I remember playing this game when I was around 10: 5 years ago. So I decided to do some research, as I was sure that I had played this game some time before 2005, as I was 13 in 2005.

And it looks like I was right. I quote from the website:

18th February, 2007 Special 5th anniversary offer It's difficult to believe that we launched LSN 5 years ago this month, and it's still going strong! We have introduced special reduced rates for new purchases and resubscriptions to celebrate our 5 year anniversary.

Source: http://www.lasersquadnemesis.com/Sub/RegularSub/News.htm

So, I think it's safe to assume it was launched originally in 2002, even if direct download then.

BUT, it was still officially launched in a box BEFORE 2005. I have a copy of LSN which originates from 2003, and it's in box form. The publisher is JUST PLAY (www.justplaynow.com) on this copy. It is an orangey-yellow box and it does not include the Greys faction.

I am editing this article to include a 2002 release date. Please feel free to discuss this on my IP talk page. 81.109.94.62 09:54, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
