Untitled[edit]

I reversed to the last good version of the article. It seems that one or two Latvian nationalists are trying to vandalise the article (or at least edit it in a complete NPOV way)Adhalanay 12:25, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The inserts that you removed were POV, but it is simply inaccurate to maintain that PCTVL is supported by Latvians; survey after survey has shown that the majority of its supporters are ethnically not Latvian, but Russian. In this context your neologism of 'Russian-speaking Latvians' is an oxymoron that clouds the issue, as ethnic groups in Latvia tend to define themselves by the language spoked by their members.

"Latvian" in English means not only "ethnic Latvian" (= Lett), but also "inhabitant of Latvia" or "citizen of Latvia". 217.198.224.13 01:06, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How "green" is it?[edit]

The intro lists PCTVL as a "green" party. Aside from its membership in the Green/EFA group in the EP, I don't see anything about PCTVL (e.g. in its electoral programmes) that is any more "green" than most parties these days. Vague statements that environmental standards should be observed is something most parties would ascribe to these days, whether "green" or not. —Zalktis (talk) 10:41, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Russophilia[edit]

I think including it is redundant as the party is made up of russians 193.210.167.118 (talk) 20:29, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your concern, but their politics are focused on shifting Latvia towards Russia, not EU, thus they're Russophilic. DudeFromTheBaltics (talk) 12:47, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
