My knowledge of l-TGA is limited, although I am currently in the midst of researching this and many other CHD's. In the meantime, if anyone could assist me with the editing of the illustration used on the dextro-Transposition of the Great Arteries article, either by providing a rough sketch of l-TGA anatomy, or by downloading and editing the image itself (or partially editing and then emailing to me...whatever works best), I would be greatly appreciative.

I don't think this would be useful. The main anatomical differences between a normal heart and a l-TGA heart is the myocard of the subaortal ventricle, the subaortal outflow tract and the spatial relationship between the arteries. I would really enjoy participating in this! I will try to write as much as I can, but if you have questions you could just mail me or go to my pages. It would be great to get some more work done here...I have put almost everything I know about l-TGA in so far, which is not much because I didn't even know there was two kinds of TGA until I started researching d-TGA. However, reading over the original writing, I had put that shunt defects were the most common to find in combination with l-TGA, but I am thinking now that stenosis may actually be more common...is this correct? I agree that getting some info about the double switch and other treatments is really important in filling out the article. I used the d-TGA article as a template for this one, leaving out the parts I didn't know about. I would probably be able to do some research and whip something up if I had a few guidelines on what needs to be included, so if you could do that part, we could probably get this article up to a better standard fairly soon. Nice to see you back! I agreee on the above, but my garden looks terrible and vacation time in Norway is aproaching. So I have to put a two-month horizon on this.(Btw.: if you would like to expand on the article on Aortic coarctation there is some nice MR-pictures on Koarktasjon which I haven't had the time to do anything about. --Ekko 06:53, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Similar defects[edit]
