Pronunciation? Jaredtalk  01:37, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lil-uh-haa-mmer. --83.109.92.97 18:04, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the film I referenced below that pronunciation sounds correct. Monkeshine (talk) 02:36, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Most people would pronounce the "uh" part more like "eh", but quite slight if talking fast. Sometimes you might even bite that wovel off and not pronounce it at all. The I and A are short vowels, while the E's are long, and the stress is on the first syllable. --Tokle (talk) 15:27, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently there is also a liqueur by this name. Perhaps someone would be willing to make a disambiguation? --141.214.44.23 (talk) 19:42, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speaking of disambiguation, there is also a brand of pipes by the name of Lillehammer. And there is a popular culture reference to them in the Bent Hamer (writer/director/producer) film O'Horten, starring Baard Owe. When searching for the pipe I found this pipe oriented website http://pipedia.org/index.php?title=Lillehammer Monkeshine (talk) 02:31, 29 September 2010 (UTC) monkeshine[reply]

Infobox picture[edit]

I don't think this picture shows Lillehammer at all. --Tokle (talk) 15:28, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've only been there once, so I'm no expert on the subject, but isn't that pretty clearly Lysgårdsbakken in the upper left? Strachkvas (talk) 03:08, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Climate information needs improvement[edit]

The source in the link for current weather information is Weather2travel, not very reliable, and also the weather box is lacking a lot of information. So I have done som reserearch using eKlima by Norwegian Meteorological Institute. There are now data from three weather stations at Lillehammer: 12640 LILLEHAMMER III okt 1969 jul 1981 271 m 12660 LILLEHAMMER II jan 1932 jul 1969 226 m 12680 LILLEHAMMER - SÆTHERENGEN des 1982 240 m To get the exremes, I have been looking at statistics from eklima for all these 3 stations, as they are all in Lillehammer. This will give us extremes back to 1957 (the first years at Lillehammer II is not made available). The record high of 34C was set in 1970, same year -and same heat wave - as was present when Nesbyen recorded the national record of 35.6C. The record low of -31C was recorded in December 1978 and Januar 1979 (same cold period I guess), and the same low was recorded in January 1987. The data for extremes also show that there have been no overnight air frost in August since 1978. Also, I have got precipitation data for Lillehammer-Sætherengen in eklima. With regard to average temperatures, met.no have not calculated any average temperatures or daily avg high/low, so I used Infoclimat, a pretty good service, it seems they have data back to 2004 (see sources in weather box). For sunhours, I have used data from met.no, and the closest seems to be Kise in Ringsaker, about 40 km south of Lillehammer as the crow flies (metlex: https://metlex.met.no/wiki/Soltid). So I suggest we use this weather box for Lillehammer, and removed the one currently used:
