I would love it anyone out there could wikify even one entry on this rather long list. I don't want to give any intructions, since that's not really in the spirit of the project, but here are a couple things to think about before you edit.

  • The schools are named the way they are for a reason. Particularly, I've used a minimum of abreviations, since there are so many that can stand for multiple schools. For instance, both South Carolina and Southern California are called USC. Also, if you change one Texas Christian to a TCU without changing them all, that makes the list inconsistent.
  • If you wikify somebody's name, check to see that it's linking to the proper man, and not some other personality with the same name. If an article exists for a John Doe but not the one you're looking for, link it to John Doe (football) even if that link is dead. With any luck someone will be encouraged to write the article we need.
  • I'm in the process of getting the coaches off this page and onto List of College Football Hall of Fame inductees (coaches). Before you move an entry there, make sure it isn't a person inducted as both a player and a coach (Walter Camp, for example).

I'll get off my soapbox now. Thanks for the help. --djrobgordon 00:13, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If you do create/edit any page for any of the players on this list, please make sure that you add the Category:College Football Hall of Fame tag to the page. As I added the 2006 inductees I made sure to add this category to their pages. Thanks! Deejayk 03:17, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
