Yuan Te Lee[edit]

There's no reason to have a Taiwanese scientist on this list. You wouldn't include a Frenchman working in the US on the American laureates.

Also please read WP:OWN and WP:BRD

Y.T. Lee was a Japanese citizen at birth, was born in Japanese territory, received a Japanese education and is fluent in Japanese language. It is reasonable for him to be recorded in "Note" as a supplement. If the logic of deleting Y.T. Lee is valid, please also delete "Chinese diaspora" in the article List of Chinese Nobel laureates. They are not Chinese but are described.Kt Meursault (talk) 05:13, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
WP:OTHER is not a valid argument, and in even if it did that would still argue for him to go in the Taiwanese, not the Japanese listing.. I also see no evidence that he was actually a japanese citizen at birth, though he was certainly a subject. Elementary schooling does not really count for much.Pipsally (talk) 05:29, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion re the "Members of laureate organizations" section[edit]

Please visit the discussion I've begun on the inclusion in this article and in several other "List of X Nobel laureates and nominees" articles of a "Members of laureate organizations" section at Talk:List of Brazilian Nobel laureates and nominees#Laureates and non-laureates.
