Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that List of metropolitan areas in the United States by GMP be merged into List of U.S. metropolitan areas by GDP. I think that the content in the former article can easily be explained in the context of the latter, and the latter article is of a reasonable size in which the merging of the former will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. 108.81.25.227 (talk) 01:53, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, it is apparent that the creator of "List of metropolitan..." was unaware of the existence of "List of U.S. ...", and additionally, the exact same data that was used to update the latter article was also used to create the former. --108.81.25.227 (talk) 01:53, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As the creator of the first article, see no problem with the merge. They present the same info. Just be sure to explain the term GMP as opposed to the usual definition of GDP (which is for nations). Ufwuct (talk) 19:35, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am also in favor of the merge. The articles duplicate one another. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 13:14, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Current-dollar GDP per capita by metropolitan area" seems to be synthesized data[edit]

The information at the cited website only appears to show the current-dollar GDP by metropolitan area, but not per capita, even though it shows the real GDP per capita by metropolitan area. Where does this section's data actually come from? Stevie is the man! TalkWork 18:46, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
