High Achieving Graduates from Singapore - Removal of section[edit]

This edit added the comment:

Remove: THIS SECTION SHOULD BE REMOVED AS IRRELEVANT by 58.170.119.108
Remove: It is "normal" for these types of pages to contain lists of notable people. (i.e. a list of links to WP pages about these people.) There is not one blue link to an internal page, and only two blue links to external pages. Should the section become a sea of blue links, I would review my opinion. Remove: shift the blue linked people to the "Notable Alumni" section. --Perry Middlemiss (talk) 02:46, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FYI : Notability and other matters[edit]

Any editors who want to add people to this article must be able to reasonably demonstrate that they are actually alumni of the university and also notable. They should ordinarily already have an article about them on Wikipedia before inclusion in this article. Afterwriting (talk) 02:24, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Recent page rename[edit]

An editor recently changed the name of this page from "List of University of Adelaide people" to "List of University of Adelaide alumni" with the edit summary ‎"More formal title, sounds better". However an "alumnus" is just a graduate of an institution, and as this list also contains others (Chancellors, Vice-Chancellors and notable staff) who are not graduates of the University, I propose that this name change be reverted to remain in line with similar lists in Category:Lists of people by university or college in Australia, unless someone comes up with a convincing argument for a split into two separate pages. Since there has been no response in over a week, I've just tried to make the change but I've been unable to do it myself (despite blanking the redirects), so I've now made a Uncontroversial technical request. Bahudhara (talk) 02:07, 2 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inserting link to new wiki page[edit]

Mike Brooks is (correctly) listed twice under Vice-Chancellors of the University of Adelaide.

Can we link in the new wiki page of Mike Brooks:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_J._Brooks

Most of the other Vice-Chancellors have associated links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.174.47.33 (talkcontribs) 5:09, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
