Wikify[edit]

This needs serious wikification since many pages about individual enzymes already exist.Biophys (talk) 19:20, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the page to a list article; as such it can function as an overview even if the individual enzymes or families have their own article. I agree that there is still some cleanup to do; among other things the external links in the body of the list should be changed to footnotes. Regards! I have modified the {{infobox protein family}} to include a link to the CAZy database and added these parameters to the infoboxes that are included in this article. Since CAZy database entries in turn link to the CAZypedia articles, this in principle removes the need for direct links to CAZypedia. Alternatively we can add footnotes that link to each of the CAZypedia articles, but footnote section is already very long and these additional footnotes would further increase the size of this section significantly. In addition, if internal wiki links are provided for the individual enzymes, the need for the external EC number link is eliminated. These two changes together would eliminate most of the in-line external links. Boghog (talk) 08:42, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! New links in box to CAZY are great. But I think that direct links to CAZYpedia [1] should also be kept because that would be more convenient for a reader.Biophys (talk) 14:43, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved all families from this article to their own pages, and am in the process of replacing this article with a simple list. There are now 128 families in CAZy and there are articles for 65 of these. However I have not added CAZYpedia links to the relevant articles yet. If anyone who knows how to do this with a bot could help me this would be great. --RE73 (talk) 07:42, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
