NDPB[edit]

It would be nice if we could make it explicit which NDPBs come under which NIE dept; and which come under HMG. Please see new cat:

Eg. the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission is categorised under Category:Non-Departmental Public Bodies of the United Kingdom government. Is this correct? Reliable ext refs appreciated. --Mais oui! (talk) 10:03, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Revamp[edit]

I think this article needs a real revamp. I have moved ministers to the top of the list as they are elected and the departments are accountable to them.

Each department should have a full list of its current agencies underneath the name; the 'other bodies' and 'other related organisations' sections can therefore be cleared out. I will merge those lists into one for a start.

There is no need to include internal divisions of departments, individual programmes or generic names in this list but they could be included elsewhere in Wikipedia.

Any objections to deleting the following from the list?

  • SMART (Northern Irish Business Grant)
  • OnlineNI
  • Account NI
  • Central Procurement Directorate (CPD)
  • Delivery and Innovation Division (DID)
  • Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland
  • District Policing Partnerships
