Untitled[edit]

Under the current law, towns are not considered municipalities in Slovakia. Therefore towns should be removed from this list or they should be added and the list renamed "of towns and municipalities". Juro 15:52, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Which legislation do you have in mind? Looking up laws at www.zbierka.sk led me to Zákon č. 612/2002 Z.z. (Act number 612/2002) §22 states that "obce" (~municipality) can be named "mesto" (~town/city) after fulfilling certain criteria. The Zákon does not say anything about those "obce" that become "mesto" no longer being "obce". It is also notable that the Zákon is called: "o obecnom zriadení" (very loosely translated as Municipal Organization Act). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iswikinumber2 (talkcontribs) 06:20, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, when you look at the table that is linked in the arcticle (http://www.statistics.sk/mosmis/eng/run.html), you might notice that they refer to the number of municipalities (2891) and then to the number (138) of those that are of "town statute". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iswikinumber2 (talkcontribs) 06:27, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page format[edit]

The format is not so... useful... Better in a table? emijrp (talk) 12:29, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page broken?[edit]

I'm trying to fix a link to change it from pointing to Polianka to Polianka, Slovakia, but the page is seemingly impossible to edit. It just says "Database error: A database query error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software.
