Proposed deletion discussion[edit]

The article is for PROPOSED deletion, not speedy deletion. Anyway, my point is, is that the people on this list are not as notable as for example the Long Beach list you pointed out, that has WAY more famous people such as Snoop Dogg, Nicolas Cage and Chris Andersen.

See the difference? —Preceding unsigned comment added by PrJ 27 (talkcontribs) 06:25, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notable does not equal famous. Just because you don't believe that Adrian Gonzalez is not as notable to you as Snoop Dogg doesn't make it so because you believe it. These individuals warrant a Wikipedia article, and thus already meet Notability guidelines. Since there are multiple people who meet notability guidelines for the City of Chula Vista, the page warrants its own list. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 06:40, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, ok. If it really bothers you that much i'll just leave this list and forget about all this. UserPrJ 27 talk 05:05, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect graduation date listed for Mario Lopez[edit]

Upon searching for famous people from Chula Vista I found this Wiki page and found it pretty cool. However, I noticed that the graduation date for Mario Lopez was listed as 1992 instead of the correct 1991. I then editted it and then found that it was changed again to 1992. Its really not that big of a deal, just a year, but I do know as an absolute fact, that it was '91 because I was in the same graduating class - along with Donnie Edwards whose also listed as 1991.

I was going to include a link as proof, but a quick Google search shows that different sites have him listed as either '91 or '92, but as I said, I was there so Im positive it was 1991. But again, not a huge deal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.220.12.186 (talk) 03:22, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unsorted comments[edit]

  • Added Jose "Bat" Marquez to crime section, since he has become nationally known in print and television media (included citation). However, I left out some of his lesser known associates (including his brother), since they have not appeared as frequently on national television shows or print media. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.177.37.156 (talk) 20:56, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Added The Zeros, since they did make a mark on the US punk rock scene, and they were based out of Chula Vista. Moved tom waits to Music section, sicne he is more well known for his career as a musician.24.177.37.156 (talk) 21:07, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mater Dei High deletions[edit]

  • Removed: Robert Clark Young, George Milke, Mickey Pimentel, Stanley Daniels. They all attended/graduated from Marion Catholic High School, when Marion was located in South San Diego. In 2007 Marion was renamed Mater Dei Catholic High School and the campus was moved to east Chula Vista.
