Lowering minimum capacity[edit]

I feel that because this list is small compared to the others, it's more likely to get deleted. I feel that this could be remedied if the minimum inclusion rating was lowered beacause there are many great stadia which are "capacitied out" of the list. I propose that the minimum capacity be 15,000 and am going to make it so The C of E (talk) 11:17, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea! I added those AUS, NZL, RSA, JPN, FRA, and UAE stadiums I could find. You might want to check to make sure I got them all. Thanks! Patken4 (talk) 14:48, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And perhaps (if all goes well) later we could lower it to 10,000 to make it a better page. I am also planning to put in a closed section and will do so (if I haven't already done it) The C of E (talk) 18:58, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, we seem to have got all of the rugby stadiums that we can within the current limitations so I think maybe we should consider going back to one of my earlier suggestions and lowering the minimum capacity to 10,000 to expand the list a bit more but not go any lower than that in future. Unofficial flag[edit]

I have again removed an incorrect flag. According to the British Prime Minister's spokesman says "The position in relation to Northern Ireland was that it did not have a national flag", and Wikipedia:MOSFLAG#Overbroad use of flags with politicized connotations says not to use it inappropriately also. I suggest the editor concerned stops edit warring and disrupting Wikipedia to make a point. O Fenian (talk) 10:36, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agree but then according to The C of E I am talking to myself. BigDunc 10:43, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

7s[edit]

Do we include stadiums that host teams that play Rugby Union Sevens? The C of E (talk) 18:26, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see why not. There already one or two in the list. Patken4 (talk) 19:31, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rugby union stadiums[edit]

Hmm. I would dispute the opening sentence 'The following is a list of rugby union stadiums, ordered by seating capacity.' It's actually a list of stadiums at which rugby union is played. For instance, the Madejski Stadium, at which London Irish play, is a football stadium. Rugby happens to be played there because London Irish don't have their own ground. Welford Road, at which Leicester Tigers play, is a rugby stadium. There may or may not be other sports played there (I don't actually know), but its primary purpose is as the stadium for Leicester Tigers.
