Removing Pylons and Changing Hyatt Floors[edit]

I removed the Bartle Hall Pylons from the list since they are considered a "monument"/"sculpture" and are not "habitable." Likewise the Liberty Memorial should not be included. If we were messing with Kansas City landmarks then we would have to include the KCPT Tower which is also not habitable. It probably wouldn't hurt to include a note about them.

I changed the Hyatt floor count to match what is on the official Crown Center pages. I added some buildings that KCMODevin did such a great job on at skyscraper.com. There's another 40 or so more buildings on that he listed and it would be great to bring them over. I made add them if I find the time. Americasroof (talk) 14:58, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Format[edit]

I visited the KCAIA yesterday seeking additional information. I mentioned that I was taking photos, and showed them this article. (They liked it so much they gave me the lastest guide for free!) However, they "mocked" (right word?) including Bartle Hall pylons and Liberty Memorial among the habitable buildings, so I put them into a new section. My HTML coding is not elegant, but the redesigned table works, and hope you approve. Best regards, Charvex (talk) 20:41, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding List[edit]

I have expanded the list to the top 35 skyscrapers in Kansas City. There certainly is interest in the H&R Block Building, and the twin American Century towers is a prominent landmark to anyone who visits the Country Club Plaza from out-of-town, so, I believe they should be included here. Most of the info I used comes from SkyscraperPage.com, with some info from Emporis where the other is missing info. - - - - The Kansas City Club Building & the Marriott Downtown at nos. 37 & 38 and The View and Westin Crown Center at nos. 42 & 44 could have some interest, I suppose, but the other building are not especially distinguished. Emporis height changes[edit]

The heights on Emporis which was the basis for this list have changed and dramatically affected the list. Unfortunately you can't track vandalism there. Intuitively I think the original list was correct but... Americasroof (talk) 12:00, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
