Dear fellow contributors, I would like to reorganise the structure of this article, but I do not intend to lose any of the facts you have entered so far, and will leave these suggestions here for a while for any comments you wish to add.

My interest is that I was married in Little Dunmow church and would like to see the article brought up to date. I am taking part in the Wikipedia public policy project, and folks at the Wikimedia Foundation have encouraged each of us to edit articles of interest. But I am of course aware that those who actually live in Little Dunmow have led the writing of this detailed article so far.

My main suggestion is that the lead to our article is long, and that it might be clearer to create a new "Flitch Green" section into which we can put the facts about the creation of Flitch Green and its current status. I've been looking for more external references to include as citations, and the latest I have found is the Dunmow Broadcast article of 30th July 2009, which states that the village has 600 houses, and in terms of facilities, states that the village has a primary school and village hall, and that its residents are still campaigning for improved facilities. I haven't found a more recent update. And I haven't been able to find an independent source that tells us the number of people living there today (still 1000 or more?. Does anyone else have more up to date references?)

My suggested structure would be as follows: 1. History 2. The Flitch Trials 3. The Flitch Way 4. Flitch Green 5. Chelmer Mead proposals (on which I am sure others know a great deal more - is there a verifiable update we can provide for this paragraph?) 6. References

I also wonder if there is another image or two which could be added, for example, of the interior of Little Dunmow church?

My work on this article is being monitored and mentored by Wikipedia, and I would really appreciate any thoughts, and knowing whether the contributors who came before me are happy with the suggested structural alteration.

A follow up note on the Chelmer Mead section. Dear fellow contributors, I have updated the Chelmer Mead section with references to show that the 3,000 home proposal was withdrawn, and that Uttlesford District Council does not see a case as of October 2010 for the revised 750 home proposal. I have put in a link to the relevant council document, but I don't know how to add it to the references for the article as a whole. How to remove warning from top of article about incomplete references?[edit]
