Photo[edit]

The photo with the cranes seems to show the building under construction, but is dated 2005. 218.185.69.130 00:58, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

The cranes are there to this date. I think they must be in place to ease modifications to the building. hitman012 18:41, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
The cranes are actually part of the decoration of the building. They were left in place and simply painted. --Gothicform (talk) 14:56, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Impracticality[edit]

Surely there should be some mention of the fact that the occupiers and commissioners of the building, Lloyd's of London, hate it? One of their main reasons is that the 'inside-out' design, which exposes vital services to the elements, is horribly expensive to maintain. I can't give an exact source, but these matters have been widely reported in the press.
