The article only covers the origin[edit]

The LMS was at its most active between 1840 and 1960, yet the only coverage for this period currently (Sept 2007) is the single sentence "the society prevailed and would soon send Christians all over the world." Needs coverage of this period in Africa, Asia, Pacific before it can be regarded as anything more than a starter. Rexparry sydney 04:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

There should be a reference somewhere to the very inadequate entry on George Bennett (Missionary) since that is how it is misspelt. It should in fact be Bennet. A search on George Bennet, Daniel Tyerman and London Missionary Society reveals quite a lot of information, and the Bennet/Tyerman book on their travels appears to have been digitised by Google. --MWLittleGuy (talk) 15:20, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

--Not only does it leave out immense aspects of the LMS's activity in terms both of historical and geographical coverage, as noted above, but this article presents a biased, uncritical perspective on the organization, which had deep and complex ties to imperialist undertakings all over the world. --Emma D., London

Contribution of London Missionary Society To Christianity in Kerala State, India[edit]

London Missionary Society was crucial in the spread of Christianity in southern Kerala and building of Mateer Memorial Church at Trivandrum city, Kerala. The Chruch itself is more than 100 years old.Mateer Memorial Church is built in memory of Rev.Samuel Mateer, a missionary of London Missionary Society in the year 1906 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.196.162.176 (talk) 18:36, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
